STANLEY STELLA

Respect is the basis. Living on ethics and sustainable development seems natural to us. By respecting your skin with soft materials, respecting the men and women who produce your clothes in dignified working conditions and also respecting the world in which we live in limiting our impact on the environment.

95% MADE IN BANGLADESH, 100% CLEAR

Stanley / Stella is convinced that manufacturing in Asia is good, if it is well done. And doing well is respect the rights of men and women that we hire. It is giving them the power to acquire new skills, to be trained and informed.

In Dakha, our team of 19 people, all Bangladeshi, controls our 5 partner factories every day. All GOTS certified and all audited by the Fair Wear Foundation, of which Stanley / Stella is a recognized member.

OUR ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS AND CERTIFICATIONS

We favor materials organic or recycled that take care of your skin and the environment. We benefit from the strictest environmental certifications and labels on the market throughout our production chain.

ORGANIC COTTON

Stanley / Stella never uses conventional cotton. Most of our clothes are made from 100% organic cotton.

Organic cotton is a natural fiber, GMO-free, much less water-intensive than conventional cotton. Above all, its production does not use chemicals (neither fertilizers nor pesticides) and promotes crop rotation to keep soils healthier, more fertile and more humid. As for the waste from cotton ginning, it is recycled for the animal food industry.

OUR GOTS CERTIFICATION: 4 LETTERS THAT CHANGE EVERYTHING

GOTSis the small name of the Global Organic Textile Standard label. The strictest certification for organic fiber textiles. It tracks the entire production chain from the cotton fields: from the harvest, to the manufacture of fibers, the assembly of parts, the final product before printing, and even the export of our clothes! It certifies that Stanley / Stella cotton is grown without GMOs, without chemicals and that it is processed and dyed without prohibited toxic substances. In addition, GOTS ensures throughout the production chain, compliance with the social standards of the World Labor Organization.

TENCEL® AND MODAL®

Tencel® and Modal® are biodegradable and made from eucalyptus or beech pulp. Eucalyptus is a wood known to grow very quickly and without irrigation. The Tencel manufacturing process received the “European Award for the Environment” by the European Union due to its low emissions.
Our cellulosic fibers come exclusively from the Austrian manufacturer Lenzing, which is the first fiber producer to receive the EU Ecolabel, promoting environmental excellence.

LINEN

Linen is a very resistant natural fiber "eco-friendly". It does not need chemicals or irrigation to grow. Natural precipitation is sufficient for it. In addition, each plant absorbs a high rate of carbon.

RECYCLED POLYESTER

Stanley / Stella uses recycled polyester to make their windbreaker jackets, and as a supplement (at a rate of 15%) to organic cotton for some of our sweatshirts.
A windproof jacket can recycle between 7 and 8 PET plastic bottles. And so that our sweatshirts remain soft on your skin, it is never in direct contact with the polyester, sandwiched by two layers of organic cotton.

OUR GRS CERTIFICATION: WE RECYCLE!

The Global Recycled Standard label certifies that the materials used are recycled: for Polyester, from plastic bottles, for cotton, from cutting residues. GRS also guarantees compliance with social and environmental criteria such as wastewater treatment, the absence of certain toxic additives or even compliance with working conditions in our partner factories.
